State of Health

Use telemetry and diagnostic data for precise and transparent assessments of Battery State of Health.

Understand Battery Health throughout the EV Lifecycle

The value of an electric vehicle is influenced by the condition of its battery. State of Health provides a data-based indication of the battery’s remaining performance and capacity compared with its original condition.

Calculated in the backend and delivered over the air via API, the SoH value provides businesses with additional insight into battery condition throughout the EV lifecycle, without requiring additional hardware, a workshop visit or manual vehicle access.

Built on OEM Data and Battery Expertise

State of Health draws on Volkswagen Group’s battery and vehicle expertise across the EV lifecycle. Depending on the applicable calculation method and data availability, the calculation may consider vehicle telemetry, charging behavior and usage history, static vehicle and battery data, mileage, historical vehicle information and relevant reference data.

This turns complex battery-related data into additional context for digital EV workflows and supports more informed decision-making.
