What is Vehicle Identity about?

A deeper look into damage assessment beyond what the eye can see. Vehicle Identity for damage assessment enables speedy analysis for precise diagnosis. Vehicle specific data points, derived from OEM vehicle master data and equipment data, are conveyed per VIN request (Vehicle Identity Number) and allow our customers to perform reliable vehicle damage assessments.


What data or features do I have access to?

Our data sets include OEM vehicle master and equipment information from VW Commercial Vehicles, VW Passenger Cars, ŠKODA, SEAT, Audi. Vehicle master data: plant, brand key, brand description, vehicle model year, model code, model description, color code for interior/exterior/roof and color description for interior/exterior/roof, paint numbers for exterior/interior/roof, production date, delivery date, engine code, engine power level, transmission kind, gearbox code letters. Equipment documentation: 3 digit PR-number to identify equipment features, description of equipment features.

Permitted Data Usage

The scope of the data usage is defined in the contract between the customer and Volkswagen Group Info Services AG.

HOW TO START?

In order to access data of the product Vehicle Identity, the following steps and prerequisites are required:

  1. First, we will agree on a legal contract with you and your company. Please contact us for more details.
  2. On the Data Hub
    • Your company registers on our Data Hub using ONE Business ID (www.onebusinessid.com) , a service provided by Volkswagen AG
    • You subscribe to this product
  3. After subscribing to the product you will be issued an API-Key.
  4. You can connect to the data product and consume the data by sending a GET Request according to the API specification of the product you can find below to the provided endpoint
  5. Set the HTTP-header `x-marketplace-api-key` to the value of the API-key
