1 - How can Targa Telematics, as an IoT and connected mobility specialist, collaborate with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG to transform OEM data streams into actionable value for fleet management?

Lasse Schmidt Van Hülst

Yeah, good question. We see the partnership as a perfect match of capabilities. Targa Telematics brings strong expertise in turning vehicle data into services. And we, as group services, provide direct access to high quality OEM data from six major Volkswagen brands.

And hereby we enable customers, the fleet managers, to manage their core processes: vehicle management, cost and fuel management, and trip and compliance management.

Henning Wiefelspuetz

Thanks to our partnership with Volkswagen Group Info Services, the direct integration of fleet vehicle data from six Volkswagen Group brands into our Targa Telematics platform enables new mobility services for fleet managers such as activity reports, EV management, maintenance management, store vehicle recovery, claims management, drive analytics, and other services that do support our Targa Telematics offerings using mileage information, fuel consumption, EV data, warning lights, and other information from Volkswagen Group vehicles.

2 - How is connected vehicle data transforming decision-making around electrification, sustainability, and emerging mobility trends?

Lasse Schmidt Van Hülst

Vehicle data is a game changer, especially in sustainability matters.

To be more precise, regarding electrification, connected EV data on battery health, state of charge, and driving patterns enables accurate range prediction, smart charging strategies, and target infrastructure planning to optimize electrification.

And with respect to sustainability, connected vehicle data enables real-time emissions tracking and it promotes drivers to adopt eco-friendly driving habits.

And in reference to emerging mobility trends, connected vehicle data drives efficiency through predictive maintenance and dynamic routing and even integrates with smart city systems for sustainable urban mobility.

In summary, connected vehicle data serves as a cornerstone for electrification, sustainability, and emerging mobility trends, enabling smarter energy management, reducing environmental impact, and driving innovative efficient transportation solutions for the future.

3 - In an increasingly complex mobility ecosystem, how does leveraging OEM data simplify and enhance fleet operations?

Lasse Schmidt Van Hülst

Thank you. It's a very good question. Let me give you three examples.

First, by offering OEM vehicle data through a single API, we can reduce complexity by providing data directly from the source. Second, no aftermarket hardware devices needed, just seamless access to our comprehensive fleet data portfolio covering all major lifecycle needs. And third, this enables automation, improves cost control, and it helps fleet operators move from reactive to predictive operations.

Henning Wiefelspuetz

With fleet managers being able to use Targa Telematics offerings based on OEM data from Volkswagen Group Info Services, using mileage data, fuel consumption data, warning lights, and other vehicle data without requiring new installations, as lots of data sets simplify the whole fleet operations by integrating and using standardized data and making it readily available and accessible through the Targa Telematics digital platforms.

So receiving real-time alarms from unexpected events and predictive reports that enable these unplanned repairs and plan them, but also support routine maintenance and periodic checkups for the fleet managers.

4 - What role does the partnership between Targa Telematics and Volkswagen Group Info Services A play in shaping the future of mobility?

Lasse Schmidt Van Hülst

Our partnership with Targa Telematics is a clear signal.

Future mobility will be driven by data and collaboration, and by combining Targa Telematics platform with Volkswagen Group data, we can unlock new value for fleet operators across Europe.
In general, we are building an ecosystem where data becomes even more important as there will be more vehicle information in the future to power safer, greener, and more efficient mobility.

Henning Wiefelspuetz

Thank you, Lasse. I do agree, the strategic partnership of Targa Telematics and Volkswagen Group Info Services with vehicle data from Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Skoda, Seat, and Cupra vehicles to provide fleet managers and drivers with an increasing number of digital mobility services.

So Targa Telematics is one of the main global players in the IoT field and Volkswagen Group Info Services to contribute to the future of mobility with this partnership. Thank you.
