Diagnostics. Simplified! Digitalization does away with complexity. This is particularly noticeable when diagnosing vehicle damage: State-of-the-art diagnostic tools working with original OEM data empower the quick translation of diagnostic troubles codes into actionable insights for vehicle maintenance and repair. Our data product “Diagnostics Data” provides the needed DTC descriptions for seven brands of the Volkswagen Group and enables tool manufacturers to further develop their diagnostic solutions.

All Volkswagen, VW Commercial Vehicles, Skoda, SEAT, Cupra, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley models are covered and consolidated based on their platform. Currently, the EU package includes 70 platforms whereas the Worldwide package includes 75 platforms. In the individual file every control unit is included in the format of an individual .odx file. In such files all potential control unit error messages are displayed, including their translation.

Until further notice the data is being delivered twice a year per ZIP-file download. To unlock secured electronic control units, the Customer must agree with Volkswagen AG on the provision of the necessary information.

The data set supports all vehicle models across the product range from Volkswagen, VW Commercial Vehicles, Skoda, SEAT, Cupra, Audi, Lamborghini and Bentley.

Currently, Diagnostics Data can be requested by companies that have a legal entity in the European Union.

The scope of the data usage is defined by all applicable data legislation and further defined in the contract between the customer and Volkswagen GIS AG.
